APRIL 19 - MAY 31, 2006, PRADA EPICENTER NEW YORK
Stretching between Broadway and Mercer Street, the entire space of the Prada Epicenter was transformed into a museum for Waist Down New York. The grand cascade on the Broadway side, the stage that folds out of the curved wave, and the long wall connecting the two streets were utilized for discrete installations, while an army of giant suspended 2D mannequins unified the space.
The way specific conditions in various parts of the Epicenter were appropriated for displays echoed the diverse use of street space in Manhattan.
