SS 2011 Menswear

The installation consists out of a flying roof and elevated stage creating a narrow space of 2.50 m height and 6 m width. Its surfaces are covered with metal grill. Neon lights hidden behind the permeable surfaces illuminate the show space. The tribunes on each side of the runway are raised by 5 steps. The seats are stadium seats out of plastic. A cage for photographers is placed at the end of the runway.

The installation is an architectural extraction drawn from the real built world as it can be found in New York, Milan, Istanbul or Seoul. Structural elements, lights and materials are composed as if they were to define a place like a contemporary hotel lobby or an airport hallway. In the speed of fashion architecture appears as a seasonal style and as a temporary experiment.
