Prada Linea Rossa is once again partnering with a Red Bull athlete who has taken on an extreme challenge, Japanese ski jumper Ryōyū Kobayashi. On this occasion, the Olympic and World Cup champion and three-time Four Hills winner achieved a remarkable result and set a new ski jumping world record.
Set in Hlidarfjall Akureyri, in northern Iceland, the natural takeoff table equipped Kobayashi to fly for over 291 meters, with a top speed of 107km/h at takeoff, breaking the previous record by 37.5 meters and setting a considerable new world record.
To support the athlete as he aimed achieve his ambitious objective in the cold environment of this remote location, Prada Linea Rossa provided Kobayashi and his core team members with functional clothing and accessories for the extended periods spent on the mountain. The collection’s advanced textile developments combine comfort and high-performance function, supporting Ryōyū and the crew in these months of research and preparation.
